Rain sound synthesized entirely from white noise and using these plugins (in audacity): vinyl, multivoice chorus, harmonic synthesizer, gverb, and modest delay effects. This is my first attempt, i'll be trying to make more realistic ones. Until then, tell me if you liked this (rate it, comment).

I recorded this sounds by a sound blaster live! soundcard in 2003, when i tested its highest sampling rate (96 khz). I used my philips sbc 3050 condenser electret microphone. Before uploading, in 2015, i applied a little noise reduction in audacity software.

Thunderstorm aftermath. Sounds of a thunderstorm about 10 minutes after it left the area. So low rumbles and rain dripping. I needed the sound of newspapers being tossed by a delivery boy for a performance of "our town" i recorded this using a zoom h2, while tossing newspapers against my house. There are two similar recordings for two different acts. I filtered out background noise using audacity.
